I work in an integrative way, using Transactional Analysis (TA) as the therapeutic approach. I am in advanced Clinical training as a Psychotherapist and have worked with children, adults and families for over 12 years. The approach I use is based on how we use communication and looks at the patterns of behaviour that we have developed from childhood. In therapy the sessions will enable you to understand, reflect and identify negative, unhelpful patterns in your life and give you the opportunity to make positive changes.
I work with adults that may be having issues around; relationships, stress, anxiety, bereavement, any other emotional difficulties that are causing conflict within your life. I use creative methods when working with children and young people, allowing them to deal with their issues through play and creativity within the sessions. I also work with parents that may be looking to understand their emotional difficulties around parenthood and with couples that are struggling to communicate effectively with one another. I also offer therapeutic services to people on the Autistic Spectrum or have ADHD.
I am registered with, and adhere to the ethics and practices of; the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and ITA (Institute for Transactional Analysis).
